Concerning the travel arrangements, you can arrive from Lyon airport or Geneva airport
From Lyon airport (be careful to book your ticket from Lyon airport and not Lyon city center), several options:
By train: 1h ride, a TGV runs between the Lyon Saint-Exupery airport and Grenoble center (the recommended hotels are 5min walk from the train/bus station) but the number of direct trains is very limited.

By bus: 1h ride, several companies (from Lyon saint-exupery airport to Grenoble): blablabus, flixbus
From Geneva airport, it’s a longer ride.
By train : 2h45 ride, no direct train, you have to go through Geneva city center. You can book your tickets via the official train website : https://www.sncf-connect.com/en-en
You can also arrive to Paris but then it is a 3h train ride.
